The A/W Memebox

Another month, another Memebox. I was quite taken by the skincare box I tried last month (review here) and this month, I decided to give one of the makeup boxes a go – the Superbox #43 filled with A/W colours (or F/W for all my friends across the pond). It contains a selection of bold jewel tones, berry lip colours and some delicate pastels.

There are quite a few products from the brand DD’ell. There are two full-sized Stay Forever Gel Eye Pencil in Garden Light (a vibrant green) and Twilight Purple (a metallic purple). They’re both pretty creamy, pigmented and great quality eye pencils. There’s also an Illumination Eye Shadow in Shimmer Green which is an icy olive green shade which would be gorgeous on green and brown eyes. It’s again really buttery and easy to blend, although not the most pigmented eyeshadow.

There are two products from a Korean brand called Witch’s Pouch. First up we have the Love Me Blusher in the shade Sexy Swan, which is a pretty coral-pink shade that’s got a really beautiful texture and comes with a small brush. I’m really loving wearing this blusher at the moment because it really does perk up the face. The second item is this parabens free POPO Lipstick in the shade Burgundy Wine which is such a beautiful shade, perfect for the A/W. It’s actually quite a glossy lipstick but isn’t the most pigmented which is a shame, as I prefer my vampy lipsticks packed with a real punch of pigment.

Another lip product is the Angel Lip Tint from Yadah. This is probably my favourite product in the box. It’s free from parabens, mineral oils and other nasties, and does provide a gorgeous tint that lasts well through the day. This is a great product to slap on for those minimal makeup days.

Finally there is one nail polish from Shara Shara in the shade Lilac Bora. It’s a glittery purple colour that looks really pretty on. The only thing I dislike about it is the packaging!

All in all, there are a lot of great make up products in this box and it's definitely worth getting if you’re a true makeup junkie and are looking for a bit of a makeup refresh. If like me, you are quite picky about the makeup you use, this probably isn’t the box for you. I do definitely prefer the skincare box to the makeup boxes, but there are still some brilliant products included. Memebox have also kindly given me the coupon code Q1PWQC to share with my readers to get $5 off any of the makeup or skincare boxes!
