Charlotte Tilbury Lip Lustre Review

Charlotte Tilbury has become an iconic makeup brand in my eyes and everyone wants a piece! Everytime I peruse through the CT makeup counter at Selfridges, I always leave with something new, be it an eyeshadow palette, a lipstick and now a lip lacquer.

The Charlotte Tilbury Lip Lustres aren’t lip glosses – they're lip lacquers. They honestly just do it all and the shade High Society is the perfect pink-nude shade for a medium skin tone. It looks gorgeous paired with a smoky eye or dressed down with a ‘no makeup’ look.  It’s highly pigmented and has a high-shine vinyl finish that really plumps the lips like no other. It feels very moisturising on the lips, has killer staying power and is completely non-sticky. There aren’t any glitter particles in it, which makes it appropriate for women of all ages to wear both during the day and at night.

I think it goes without saying that the r0se gold Gatsby-esque packaging is stunning. The shade range is also beautiful and I’ve got my eye on Unleash Me as a dark vampy lip perfect for A/W. This is also a great handbag product as it’s so small and dinky! The only niggle I have with this product is the price. For £16.50 you get 3.5ml of product, whereas compared to a Lancome Gloss In Love for which you pay £20 you get 6ml of product, which is almost double! Having said that, I’m too smitten by these lip lacquers to not purchase them, so I’ll definitely be back for more! If you'd like to read more about my makeup look above, then click here
