The Marc Jacobs Lolita Palette

I’ve been lusting after The Lolita Palette for a while now. That included full on stalking of this palette at Marc Jacob’s London flagship store on Mount Street. Finally, I decided to splurge and I’ve been using it non-stop. There are a lot of What’s On My Face posts coming up using this gorgeous palette.

Now the palette comes in a cute little nylon pouch which is great for travel and also a small sponge eyeshadow brush which again I’ll be saving for when I’m on holiday. The actual packaging is so sleek, has a large mirror, snap closure and raised lettering on the front. It contains 7 beautiful warm-toned neutral eyeshadows that are so versatile and could honestly be used to create so many different looks. The eyeshadows are all really buttery and blendable.

There are 3 matte shades, 3 shimmer shades and 1 glitter shade. The matte cream shade on the far left makes a great underbrow highlight and the darkest matte shade is great as an eyeliner or brow powder. The three shimmer shades on the right are neutrals that I’ve been wearing daily and sweeping all over my lid. Finally the middle eyeshadow is a gorgeous glitter shade that I only crack out when it’s party time – beware of fall out though!

I would’ve loved if it contained a matte brown that was a good contour shade for the crease, perhaps something similar to Buck from the Naked palette. However, this palette’s still a definite winner in my eyes and worth the £40 price tag!
