What's On My Face #2

This is the makeup look that I wore on one of those classic London days where it’s sunny-ish but still could potentially rain at any time, hence the hat! I wanted to go for quite a healthy and doll-like make up look, with winged eyeliner, a sheer pink pout and rosy cheeks.

To prime my skin I used the Wild About Beauty Botanical Skin Prep Serum, which is one of those fabulous skincare-makeup hydrid products and for my base I used the Chanel Vitalumiere foundation in 40 Beige for quite a dewy finish. I used the Bobbi Brown Corrector in Peach under my eyes to counteract dark circles and on any blemishes. I then took a tiny amount of the Liz Earle Light Reflecting Concealer in Medium-Dark to brighten under the eyes. This is a really great product for reflecting light and can be used in the same way as the YSL Touche Eclat, although I personally think this one’s a lot better! I then lightly powdered down my t-zone with the Bare Minerals Mineral Veil Powder.

For the eyes I used the Chanel Automatic Liquid Eyeliner in Black on the upper lash line to create a thick winged liner and then applied lashings of my Benefit They’re Real Mascara as well as some of the KIKO Volume Top Coat Mascara for added thickness. For Eyeshadow I first primed my lids with the NARS Pro-Prime Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base to prevent creasing and lightly applied a bronze Bourjois Eyeshadow in no. 93 Tabac Blond. I filled my brows in with the No 7 Beautiful Brows Pencil in Brown/Black and locked them into place with the Maybelline Sculpting Brow Mascara in Dark Brown. I used Soap & Glory Glow All Out as an under-brow highlight.

To contour my face I went for the Bobbi Brown Bronzing Powder in Deep and to highlight I used The Balm’s Mary-Lou Manizer. To create the perfect rosy cheeks I opted for no other than Benefit’s Bella Bamba blush, which is one of my absolute favourites.

Finally for lips I went for one of my favourite glosses of the moment – the Lancome Gloss In Love lipgloss in no. 385 Under The Spotlight. It’s a gorgeous pink that isn’t too sheer or too pigmented. They feel so comfortable on the lips, smell scrumptious and are really long lasting. Lancome really do deliver when it comes to glosses.
