Sneak Preview: REN Flash Rinse 1 Minute Facial

Meet REN’s exciting new skincare launch – the Flash Rinse 1 Minute Facial. It’s officially out in London next month but I got a chance to road test it beforehand. It claims to instantly revitalize and rejuvenate the skin, but did it deliver?

The way this works is that you apply it over the face and neck massaging with circular movements. Then massage in some water to activate the vitamin C, leave for 1 minute and wash off. The texture is rather unique – it comes in the form of a green paste that smells rather like sherbets.

The ingredients list is great and like all REN products, it doesn’t contain any nasties. The main active ingredients in this mask are boswellic acid, which relaxes muscles and reduces appearance of wrinkles, vitamin C, which promotes collagen synthesis, improves skin elasticity and evens out skin tone, and a magnesium oxygen complex that energises the complexion and enhances radiance.

Now for the verdict – After one use, it did immediately make my skin glow and feel rejuvenated. I don’t know if regular use of this mask would actually make a difference in evening out skin tone or not, since I’ve only tried it once so that’s something to keep in mind. One more quick note when using this mask – Vitamin C, aka ascorbic acid, can be drying to the skin if it’s quite potent since it’s an acid, so definitely do not keep this mask on for too much longer than the recommended time!
