The Repurchase #1

Once upon a time, whilst perusing the make up counters of Selfridges, I decided to pick up both the Bobbi Brown Corrector and Creamy Concealer on a whim. Fast forward two years to present day, the Creamy Concealer sits pretty in my Muji storage but barely gets any use since I didn’t quite get on with it. However, I’ve pledged my undying allegiance time and time again to the Corrector, which I will forever repurchase and here’s why.

The best way to cover up dark circles under the eyes is to first colour correct the area and then apply concealer on top of that. I find that if you apply it without a corrector underneath, you could be left with a reverse panda eye, i.e. a strip of really noticeable concealer that looks too light for your skin tone and sits on top of the dark circle rather than really stopping it from showing through. The only way I’m able to cover my dark circles up is by applying the Bobbi Brown Corrector in the shade Peach to first neutralise the green-brown colour of my dark circles and then applying a small amount of concealer over that. If you’ve got more of a grey-blue undertone to your dark circles then use a salmon coloured concealer.

This corrector has honestly revolutionised the way my under eye area looks! I’m able to use a lot less concealer and it looks so much more natural. I’d really recommend this to anyone that like me is cursed with dark circles that just won’t quit and struggles to get the results they want and need from concealers.
