There is nothing worse, I repeat, nothing worse than walking around in open-toed sandals with cracked heels and unpainted toe nails (in my
opinion anyway)! Here are the five simple steps I take to get my feet looking
cute and Spring/Summer ready:
Step 1 - Foot Soak
Soak
feet in warm water for 10 minutes. This is going to soften all of that dead
skin and make it that much easier to exfoliate.
Step 2 - Exfoliate
I
use this Scholl Foot File to scrub off all of the dead skin and
leave my feet really smooth and soft.
Step 3 - Foot Mask
I
love the Lush Volcano Foot Mask, which is
packed with kaolin, pumice, papaya, tomato, menthol and cinnamon. All of these
work together to clean, repair, loosen dead skin, deodorise and cool the feet! It
feels really cooling when it's on and smells quite strongly of mint. I leave it
on for 15 minutes before washing it all off.
Step 4 - Moisturise
I
absolutely love using this Soap & Glory Heel Genius Foot Cream - It doubles as an overnight foot mask and a foot cream. Even though it feels quite light in texture and almost has a gel-like consistency, it moisturises the feet well and really smoothes and softens my heels.
Step 5 - Toe nails
First
I buff them with a nail file, and then I use a base coat like the Maybelline Forever Strong Pro Nail Polish that's fortified with calcium and iron
to keep nails strong. Finally I pick a polish to paint my nails. I've really
been liking this hot pink one from Nails Inc in Shoreditch.
