Casino Royale

I have a fabulous Spanish friend called Begona who resides in Spain for most of the year, but during the holidays stays at her Chelsea home for good old London playtime! Last weekend she invited me to her younger brother's 18th birthday party. Now this wasn't the usual 18th birthday party that you'd experience in London that's filled with copious amounts of vodka and ends in a nightmare of a hangover. Firstly this was in the beautiful city of Valencia at her family home and secondly, it was a black tie event with a Casino Royale theme.

All the boys were of course in dinner jackets, and for the girls there was a strict dress code of either red, white or black. I chose a red satin dress that I had hanging in my closet for a while. I kept the hair and make up pretty simple - I went for a classic red lip and blow-dried hair. I thought it would be nice to share what products I used to create this look, so here they are below:

Unfortunately there's no better close up of my make up than this incredibly pouty photo!

Trying my hand at roulette

Clearly we love to pout (a bit too much)

The ambience was absolutely incredible - Chinese laterns, roulette tables, a rather vast bar and scrumptious canapes! All the girls were given matching feather boas during the night which hopefully explains some of the pictures! We danced the night away under the stars, and after one too many G&Ts we headed home. Happy birthday Jorge (or George as we Brits like to say)!

Happy reading,

S.
