SPF Sorted!

SPF has been a really hot topic of conversation in the beauty world, and everyone has increasing concerns about the damaging effects of the sun. Suddenly, including SPF protection into a product has become paramount for many brands and of course for many of us consumers. Here are some of my favourite SPF-containing products that keep my skin protected whilst still looking gorgeous and glowing on the skin:

Now I've done a full review of the Perricone MD Photo Plasma that you can read here, but to sum up, it's an anti-ageing moisturiser that offers broad-spectrum SPF 30 protection, as well as guarding against both UVA and UVB damage. It's oil-free, very lightweight, and can be used instead of or over moisturiser depending on your skin type. It applies really smoothly and doesn't look ashy or feel heavy like traditional SPF-containing moisturisers.

My favourite of all the SPF-containing foundations has to be the Chanel Vitalumiere Foundation. I'm in the colour 40 Beige, and this is my perfect daytime foundation. It's very light and natural yet gives good coverage. It also doesn't look ashy on the skin. I reserve this during the day only and use another foundation without SPF for nights out; this is because the titanium dioxide (the main ingredient in mineral sunscreen) can lead to a white cast in flash photography.

The Chanel Les Beiges powder does a brilliant job of mattifying whilst keeping your face radiant and natural looking. This has risen to the top as my favourite setting powder purely because it's so light on the skin, and since I don't have particularly oily skin, this does the job brilliantly. It also contains SPF 15 for an added layer of protection!

Lips are often neglected when it comes to SPF, even though they're constantly exposed to the sun! I use this Fresh Sugar Rose Lip Treatment that contains SPF 15 and also gives a rosy tint to the lips.

So there you have it - my absolute sun-proof face! Which SPF products do you like to use?

Happy reading,
