Brand Alert: Fresh

This is a brand that I've been introduced to quite recently. I've walked past it many times on Marylebone High Street (which is their only London store by the way), but I've never ventured in. Now that I've tried a few of their products I must say, I will definitely be checking out more! The products are divine and the customer service is excellent.

I've been on the hunt for the perfect lip balm - Now that sounds kind of bizarre but allow me to explain. I find that with lip balms, however rich it feels on the lips, within an hour or two I need to reapply. I wanted to find something so hydrating that I wouldn't encounter this problem at all. I therefore started looking for lip balms containing hyaluronic acid which is sure to bump up the moisture levels. Once I started looking for this, I realized how few lip balms contain hyaluronic acid, and the Fresh Sugar Advanced Therapy Lip Treatment is one of the few available that do. It contains sea fennel to help smooth fine lines and wrinkles, orange extracts high in anti-oxidants, a plethora of essential oils, and of course the star ingredient hyaluronic acid, or sodium hyaluronate as seen on most ingredient lists. This is great to use during the day and perfect before bedtime if you want to wake up with soft and nourished lips.

I also received a mini lip duo, which includes the Sugar Lip Treatment and Sugar Rose Tinted Lip Treatment. These have quickly become handbag essentials for me, since they're so tiny! Both contain SPF 15 UVA/UVB protection as well as a blend of nourishing essential oils and sugar, which is a natural humectant and therefore prevents moisture loss. The tinted balm provides a subtle rosy tint to the lips.

When it comes to skincare I only buy products that contain all natural ingredients, and that's why this brand has quickly climbed to the top of my list along with Neal's Yard Remedies, NUDE, Good Things and Balance Me. All 3 of these Fresh lip products are paraben and mineral oil free. They have a delicious sweet citrus scent to them, a bit like candy. I also love the packaging, because you have to twist it open, which means it's definitely not going to wreak havoc at the bottom of your handbag! If Fresh brought out a range of pigmented lip products they'd be on to a winner; I'd gladly replace my Clinique Chubby Stick Intense for one of these nourishing lip treatments.

Honourable mention also goes to the Fresh Soy Face Cleanser and the Fresh Lotus Youth Preserve Face Cream. I've only tried samples but they are both great products. The cleanser felt lovely on the skin although I probably won't be purchasing it as it is a foaming cleanser, and any Caroline Hirons worshipper like myself knows not to use any cleanser that foams since it can dry out the skin. The face cream went down a treat for me - I adore this product. I used it for 3 consecutive days as my daytime moisturizer and it felt incredible on the skin. Perhaps once I get my hands on the full-sized tub I'll post a detailed product rave.

Have you tried anything from Fresh?

Happy reading,
