April Beauty Favourites

Here are the products i've been absolutely loving in the month of April. Most of them are beauty-related with a few extras:

Chanel Vitalumiere Foundation in 40 Beige - I've been looking for the perfect daytime foundation for a while now, and I've finally found it. After watching the lovely Lisa Eldridge's foundation series, she recommended this particular Chanel foundation for drier skin types, so I decided to give this a go. I have to say that I'm very impressed with it; it is a light-coverage foundation that is very hydrating and dries to a luminous satin finish. It looks very natural on the skin and has good staying power through the day. If you have normal-dry skin then this one is for you.

MAC Blush in Warm Soul - This is a mid-tone beige blush with a golden pearlescent sheen to it. It looks very natural and beautiful on the skin, and is the perfect subtle blush colour that is sort of in between a bronzer and a blusher for me. I don't have any other blush colour remotely similar to this in my collection so I am loving this one at the moment.

Benefit Blush in Bella Bamba - This is a very bright watermelon coloured blush with golden shimmers running through it. It is very pigmented and for this reason I don't use the small brush that comes with it because it's too dense, and I find this blush applies better with a lighter hand and a different blush brush altogether. It does look gorgeous on the skin, especially if you want to create that doll-faced look.

Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquers - I now have six of these lip lacquers in the colours Stella (bright coral), Apocaliptic (fuchsia pink), Galaxy (dark berry) and Celestial (mauve/dusty pink). These are fantastic - incredibly pigmented, excellent staying power, good colour pay-off and an absolute bargain! The only criticism I have is that the scent isn't particularly nice, especially when compared to the scrumptious vanilla scent of MAC lipsticks!

Percy & Reed Really Rather Radiant Colour and Shine Shampoo - I decided to trial this shampoo through the month of April, and take a break from my holy-grail shampoo (Aussie's Miracle Moist). I found that it did add a lot of shine to my hair as it contains Raspberry oil. It also contains provitamin B5 which adds strength, although I didn't notice any change. Overall it is a good shampoo that boosts radiance and shine, but on the downside it is quite pricy.

Tangle Teezer - I'm definitely late to jump on the bandwagon for this product, but I have to say that I'm glad I did! I have curly/unruly hair that is pretty hard to comb through at times, and the Tangle Teezer does it with such ease. I decided to buy the 'compact styler' which is slightly smaller than the classic one, and chose one in leopard print.

Victoria's Secret Noir Tease body spray - I've never really understood body sprays until recently; I have always just used perfume and I don't particularly like most of the stock that Victoria's Secret sells. By chance I stumbled upon this and instantly fell in love. It is the sweetest smelling scent I have ever come across, and it's so much cheaper than buying perfume that you honestly cannot go wrong with this product! I just carry this around in my bag, and spritz this whenever I feel the need. It's a great bargain buy and if you love sweeter scents then you'll love this.
